Reading is as easy as 123
‘Reading is as easy as 123’ is a literacy program that we ran in term 1, 2012 each Tuesday for 7 weeks. The program was funded by The Smith Family, DEEWR and supported by Gray Primary School and The Gray Family Centre. The program was facilitated by Marg Riedl, an experienced Early Childhood Educator who taught us some fantastic strategies to help our children with reading and how easy it really is!
Marg talked to us about a range of topics including stages of reading, how children learn to read and what motivates children to read. After each session we did an activity with the children and then enjoyed a lovely morning tea together. Each family received a new book to take home each week to explore and read with the kids.
Places were limited so if you missed out keep reading the school newsletter each week to see when the next group will run.
