Early Years

Gray Primary School Early Years includes Preschool to Year 2.

The Preschool offers a multi age program for children who have turned 4 before June 30.  

The Preschool curriculum is based on the EARLY YEARS LEARNING FRAMEWORK and NT preschool curriculum. All Preschool students engage in a range of Literacy and Numeracy.

There is a well established Early Years learning space which provides a safe play environment for our Preschool and Transition students.

Transition to Year 2 classes  follow the Australian Curriculum. Some of the resources used in the Early Years Jolly Phonics, PM Writing, Meaningful Maths and Guided Reading.  All classes participate in PE, science and HASS lessons with specialist teachers.

Across all the Early Years classes there is a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy.

Our Early Years programs are committed to providing a stimulating, happy and safe environment where each student has the opportunity to fully develop academically, socially, emotionally and physically.
